Abstract
Bilayer of two natural proteins egg albumen and gelatin was explored as eco-friendly gate dielectric for organic field-effect transistors (OFETs). The fabricated p-type devices exhibited excellent electrical characteristics with high field-effect mobility and high current on-off ratio, while operating at a low voltage of -5 V. In addition, to analyze the operational stability of the devices, various electrical tests were also performed. These type of biopolymer dielectric combinations can act as crucial elements for development of future sustainable electronics.
