Abstract
In this paper, we have designed a very compact size planner tilted beam SIW H-plane horn antenna for 5G millimeter (mm) wave communication. In our proposed design, we extended the substrate as well as the upper-broad wall of the horn in the direction of the main beam. This tilted beam SIW horn antenna is one of the best solutions for the 5G mm-wave band. It has few attractive features namely high gain within a small dimension along with wide impedance bandwidth. The proposed antenna has got maximum gain of 10.3 dBi at 28 GHz. Its large radiating aperture also helps us to achieve wideband impedance matching. The proposed SIW horn antenna has 3 GHz -10 dB impedance bandwidth (27.8 GHz - 30.8 GHz) and also achieves very less E-plane beamwidth of 80° and 30° H-plane beamwidth.
