Abstract
Chaffs serve as defensive countermeasures deployed on military aircraft to increase their likelihood of evading detection or attack by hostile air defense systems. Chaff consists of small fibers that reflect radar signals, which dispensed in large quantities from aircraft, form a cloud that temporarily hides the aircraft from radar detection. In this paper, monostatic RCS performance studies were carried out for metallic dipoles from S to Ku band (2-18 GHz) Frequency. Simulations have been carried out by full-wave software ANSYS HFSS.
