Abstract
A highly soluble, non-toxic, and biocompatible polymer polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVPy) was explored as a gate dielectric to demonstrate low-voltage operated p-channel organic transistors. Devices with TIPS-Pentacene: Polystyrene as channel layer exhibited good electrical characteristics at -5 V operation. Moreover, excellent repeatability, bias-stress stability, and ambient stability up to 3 months were demonstrated for these transistors. The circuit capability was also investigated through implementation of resistive load inverter circuits. Organic transistors with such eco-friendly and solution-processed materials will be suitable for future sustainable electronic systems and applications.
