Abstract
This paper discusses the impact of variations in device parameters on power supply-induced jitter for a voltage-mode driver circuit driving long transmission lines. It aims to provide a comprehensive study on variability-aware modeling of power supply-induced jitter. Semi-analytical expressions are derived to estimate jitter, considering both power supply noise and variability issues. The mathematical expressions are validated by comparing the results obtained from the analytical approach with those obtained from the EDA simulations. Compared to the EDA simulator, the suggested method offers a notable speedup in jitter estimation.
