The aim of the present study is to identify the role of prosocial personality traits (empathy, moral obligation, and sense of responsibility) on the formation of social entrepreneurial intentions among the students of a premier multi-campus technical university in India using Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) as the research framework. The sample represents 77% of the male respondents and 23% female, and the average age of the respondents was 20 years, belonging to various disciplines. Empathy was found to be the strongest affecting antecedent followed by social responsibility. Findings of this research will be helpful in predicting how the prosocial personality traits affect the formation of the intention of Indian students.
