Abstract
This paper presents a technique based on combined application of the Hilbert Transform and Stockwell Transform for the detection of the saturation of the core of the current transformer. The proposed algorithm has been tested in the presence of the resistive inductive as well as capacitive loads. The proposed study is performed in MATLAB/Simulink environment. The simulation results show effectiveness of the proposed algorithm for detection of saturation of the current transformer core.
