Abstract
With the increasing need for packet deliveries, inspections, surveillance, crop spraying etc, the world is moving towards an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) or drone ecosystem which will require more workforce for manual plugin charging. Wireless Power Transfer is an inspiring technology for the autonomous charging of drones to reduce human interventions. However, the usage of drones is less widespread thanks to their short flight time of 30-40 minutes. In this paper drone to drone opportunity charging is studied to increase its flight time which is specifically relevant in multi-agent systems. A wireless bidirectional dual active bridge (DAB) converter is designed and simulated in MATLAB/SIMULINK.
