Abstract
Computer vision is a fascinating field of study which includes the application of algorithms over real-world visual data, such as photos and videos, in order to provide valuable suggestions for tasks that have been traditionally done by human beings only. Although not perfect, these algorithms often perform satisfactory solutions to many real-world problems and can execute ubiquitously on easily available devices. It makes them a great candidate for use across a wide range of use cases. In this chapter, we will highlight the application of computer vision-based solutions in the field of yogic therapies. In particular, we will discuss their utility for aiding Yoga practitioners in the improvement of their postures. It can help the beginners in the arena to perform the Asana correctly, and at the same time, provide the Yoga trainers with crucial feedback about the progress of their disciples.
