Abstract
Solar panels are extensively used to convert sunlight into renewable energy. Nevertheless, a variety of factors, including temperature, can have a significant effect on their efficacy. In this paper, we propose a method for using thermal imaging to analyse the temperature distribution of a solar panel. The method proposes entails segmenting the thermal image into distinct temperature ranges and computing the centroid of each range. This provides a quantitative measure of temperature distribution and permits the identification of regions. Using OpenCV, we implement and evaluate our method on a thermal image of a solar panel. The results exhibit the efficacy of the proposed method for identifying various temperature ranges and locating the odd regions in the solar panel
