Abstract
In recent years, inorganic quantum dots (QDs) have shown promising potentials in various optoelectronic applications, such as light-emitting diodes, solar cells, and photodetectors. Among them, CdS and CdSe QDs showed excellent efficiency and stability in optoelectronic applications. Hot injection synthesized QDs are highly stable in ambient conditions as they are capped with stable organic ligands. In this work, we synthesized CdS and CdSe QDs using the hot injection method and characterized them with X-ray diffraction (XRD), UV-Vis, and Fluorescence spectroscopy. We also performed a theoretical investigation of the bulk CdS and CdSe band structure. © 2025 American Institute of Physics Inc.. All rights reserved.
